Description

Delicious shrimp tacos filled with fresh cilantro lime slaw and drizzled with creamy sriracha sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 small corn tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1/2 cup cilantro, chopped
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp sriracha sauce
  • Juice of 1 lime


Instructions

  1. Toss the shrimp with olive oil, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until evenly coated. Let marinate for about 10 minutes.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat, and add the shrimp. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and opaque.
  3. Mix together the mayonnaise, sriracha sauce, and lime juice in another bowl until smooth and creamy.
  4. Combine the shredded cabbage and chopped cilantro to create the slaw.
  5. Warm the corn tortillas in a pan or microwave for about 15-20 seconds until soft.
  6. Assemble the tacos by placing shrimp on each tortilla, topping with slaw, and drizzling with the creamy sriracha sauce.
  7. Serve immediately while warm and fresh.

Notes

For a crispier slaw, consider adding sliced radishes or jicama. You can also marinate shrimp longer for deeper flavor.
