Description
A warm, gooey Pesto Grilled Cheese sandwich that elevates the classic comfort food with fresh pesto and melty cheese.
Ingredients
- 2 slices of bread
- 2 slices of cheese (e.g., cheddar, mozzarella, or your choice)
- 2 tablespoons of pesto
- Butter or olive oil for grilling
Instructions
- Spread pesto on one side of each slice of bread.
- Lay a slice of cheese on the non-pesto side of one slice of bread.
- Position the second slice of bread on top, with the pesto side facing out.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat, adding enough butter or oil to coat the pan.
- Place the sandwich in the skillet and grill for 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
- Flip the sandwich and repeat on the other side until crispy and cheese is melted.
- Slice the sandwich in half and serve hot.
Notes
Best served immediately for maximum gooeyness. Pair with marinara sauce or a green salad.
