Ingredients
- 2 to 3 pounds of beef roast (chuck or sirloin)
- 1 packet of onion soup mix
- 1 cup of beef broth
- 1/2 cup of water
- 4 to 6 hoagie rolls
- Sliced provolone or Swiss cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Place the beef roast in the crockpot.
- Mix together the onion soup mix, beef broth, and water in a separate bowl.
- Season the beef with salt and pepper, if desired.
- Cover and cook on low for 480 to 600 minutes or high for 240 to 300 minutes until the beef is tender.
- Shred the beef with a fork and let it soak in the juices.
- Serve the shredded beef on hoagie rolls topped with cheese.
