Ingredients
- 1 pound skinless boneless turkey breast
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 0.5 pound Italian sausage
- 0.5 cup yellow onion, finely diced
- 0.5 cup celery, finely diced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 box herb stuffing mix (6 ounces)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Place the turkey breast, skinless side up, on a cutting board and pound to even thickness. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- In a skillet, melt 3 tablespoons of butter, add onion and celery, and cook until soft (about 5 minutes). Mix in Italian sausage and cook until browned. Add herb stuffing and chicken broth, mixing well.
- Spread stuffing over the turkey breast, roll it up tightly, and secure with kitchen twine or toothpicks.
- In an oven-safe skillet, melt remaining butter, sear the roulade for 3 minutes on each side, then bake for 45-60 minutes until temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- Let the roulade rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.
