Description

A cozy turkey roulade filled with savory sausage stuffing, ideal for Thanksgiving gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound skinless boneless turkey breast
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 pound Italian sausage
  • 0.5 cup yellow onion, finely diced
  • 0.5 cup celery, finely diced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 box herb stuffing mix (6 ounces)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Place the turkey breast, skinless side up, on a cutting board and pound to even thickness. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. In a skillet, melt 3 tablespoons of butter, add onion and celery, and cook until soft (about 5 minutes). Mix in Italian sausage and cook until browned. Add herb stuffing and chicken broth, mixing well.
  4. Spread stuffing over the turkey breast, roll it up tightly, and secure with kitchen twine or toothpicks.
  5. In an oven-safe skillet, melt remaining butter, sear the roulade for 3 minutes on each side, then bake for 45-60 minutes until temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  6. Let the roulade rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Ensure the turkey is at room temperature before cooking for even results. Don’t skip the searing step for enhanced flavor!
