Ingredients
- 1 block Silken Firm Tofu
- 1 cup Flour (All-purpose, Gluten-free, or Chickpea)
- 1/2 cup Water
- 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Sea Salt
- 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper
- 1 cup Panko Breadcrumbs
- 1 cup Vegetable Oil
- 1/2 cup Vegan Mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons Sriracha Sauce
Instructions
- Prepare the Tofu: Drain the silken tofu and press it between paper towels to remove excess moisture.
- Make Your Batter: In a bowl, mix flour, water, smoked paprika, garlic powder, sea salt, and black pepper until smooth.
- Dredge the Tofu: Cut tofu into cubes, dip each piece in the batter, and shake off excess.
- Panko Coating: Roll each battered tofu piece in the panko breadcrumbs, pressing gently.
- Heat the Oil: In a skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Fry the Tofu: Add tofu to the oil in batches, frying for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Drain and Cool: Transfer tofu to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
- Prepare the Sriracha Mayo: Mix vegan mayonnaise and sriracha sauce until well combined.
