Ingredients

  • 1 block Silken Firm Tofu
  • 1 cup Flour (All-purpose, Gluten-free, or Chickpea)
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Sea Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 cup Panko Breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup Vegetable Oil
  • 1/2 cup Vegan Mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Sriracha Sauce


Instructions

  1. Prepare the Tofu: Drain the silken tofu and press it between paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  2. Make Your Batter: In a bowl, mix flour, water, smoked paprika, garlic powder, sea salt, and black pepper until smooth.
  3. Dredge the Tofu: Cut tofu into cubes, dip each piece in the batter, and shake off excess.
  4. Panko Coating: Roll each battered tofu piece in the panko breadcrumbs, pressing gently.
  5. Heat the Oil: In a skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  6. Fry the Tofu: Add tofu to the oil in batches, frying for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
  7. Drain and Cool: Transfer tofu to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  8. Prepare the Sriracha Mayo: Mix vegan mayonnaise and sriracha sauce until well combined.
