A delightful recipe for homemade banana bread that replicates the popular Starbucks treat, perfect for breakfast or a snack.
Ingredients
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 4×8 inch loaf pan.
- In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
- Stir melted butter into the mashed bananas.
- Mix in baking soda and salt.
- Stir in sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract.
- Finally, mix in the flour until just incorporated. Fold in walnuts if using.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Bake for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let it cool for a few minutes in the pan, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Serve warm or at room temperature; great with coffee or tea. Store tightly wrapped at room temperature for a few days or refrigerate for up to a week.
