Description

Quick and flavorful smash burgers with a crispy crust and juicy interior, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 ½ lb 80/20 Ground Beef
  • 1 Large Yellow Onion (optional)
  • ¼ cup Avocado Oil
  • Salt and Pepper
  • 4 Hamburger Buns
  • 8 slices American Cheese (optional)
  • ½ cup Mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp Dijon Mustard
  • ¼ cup Barbecue Sauce
  • 1 tsp Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 tsp Soy Sauce
  • 1 tsp Sriracha


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, barbecue sauce, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, and Sriracha to make the burger sauce. Stir well and set aside.
  2. Preheat a large skillet or griddle over medium-high heat and add the avocado oil.
  3. Form the ground beef into 4 equal balls and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Place the beef balls in the hot skillet and use a sturdy spatula to smash each flat. Cook for about 2-3 minutes until the edges are crispy.
  5. If using onions, add thin slices around the burgers now.
  6. Flip the burgers, add a slice of American cheese on top, and cook for another 1-2 minutes until the cheese melts.
  7. Toast the hamburger buns in the skillet until golden brown.
  8. Spread the burger sauce on the bottom half of each bun, place the cooked burgers on top, and add any additional toppings. Close with the top half of the bun.
