Delicious Smash Burgers with a creamy house sauce, perfect for quick dinners or cookouts.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend)
- 4 soft burger buns
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup dill pickles, sliced
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together mayonnaise, ketchup, Dijon mustard, and smoked paprika to make the house sauce.
- Preheat a griddle or cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat.
- Shape ground beef into six loose balls (about 6 ounces each).
- Place each ball on the hot surface and smash it down with a spatula. Season generously with salt and pepper.
- Cook for about 2 minutes until crispy, then flip the patties and add shredded cheese on top.
- Cover loosely until the cheese melts (about 1 minute).
- Assemble the burgers by spreading house sauce on both bun halves. Place a patty on one half, add pickles if desired, and top with the other half.
Notes
Serve with fries or salad. Customize toppings as desired.
