Description

Delicious smash burgers with a crispy exterior and juicy inside, perfect for dinner or BBQ.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • Salt and pepper
  • Bacon strips
  • Cheddar cheese slices
  • 1 large onion, caramelized
  • Burger buns

Instructions

  1. Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat.
  2. Form the ground beef into golf ball-sized balls.
  3. Place the balls on the skillet and smash them down with a spatula until thin.
  4. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Cook for about 2-3 minutes until the edges are crispy.
  6. Add a slice of cheddar cheese on top and let it melt.
  7. Meanwhile, cook the bacon until crispy.
  8. Toast the burger buns lightly.
  9. Assemble the burgers by placing the patty on the bun, topped with caramelized onions and bacon.
  10. Serve hot.

Notes

Use freshly ground beef for better flavor and don’t overwork the meat when forming the balls.
