Description

Juicy and cheesy Smash Burger Tacos combine classic burgers and tasty tacos for a fun twist.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup mayo
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped dill pickles
  • 1/2 teaspoon pickle juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon rice vinegar
  • 1 pound ground beef (80/20)
  • 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 6 slices American cheese
  • 6 flour tortillas (street taco size)
  • Shredded lettuce (optional)
  • Burger pickles (optional)
  • Bacon (optional)
  • Thin white onions (optional)
  • Burger press (optional)
  • Burger patty paper squares (optional)

Instructions

  1. Make the burger sauce by mixing all the sauce ingredients in a small bowl and setting aside.
  2. In another bowl, combine ground beef with kosher salt and black pepper. Divide into 6 balls and set aside.
  3. Prep tortillas, cheese, and toppings as the cooking process is quick.
  4. Preheat a flat top griddle to medium-high heat. Place beef balls on the griddle and flatten each with a burger press for about 15-20 seconds.
  5. Cook patties for 40 seconds, adding seasoning if desired.
  6. Flip patties and top each with a slice of cheese. Place tortillas on the cooktop and close the lid to cook for about 2 minutes.
  7. Flip the tortillas, lift patties, and place them on top of the toasted tortillas. Transfer to a plate.
  8. Add shredded lettuce, burger sauce, and pickles. Optionally add bacon and thin white onions before serving.

Notes

Serve immediately for best taste. Pairs well with french fries or chips. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
