Ingredients
- 1 whole chicken
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 lemon, halved
- Fresh herbs (e.g., rosemary, thyme)
Instructions
- Season the whole chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
- Place the halved lemon inside the cavity of the chicken.
- If using, add fresh herbs inside the cavity.
- Place the chicken in the slow cooker, breast side up.
- Cover and cook on low for 360-480 minutes (6-8 hours) or until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
- Carefully remove the chicken and serve.
Notes
For crispy skin, broil the chicken in the oven for a few minutes after slow cooking. You can customize the flavor with different herbs and spices.
