Description
A classic Shrimp Scampi dish with garlic, butter, and shrimp, served over pasta for a quick and satisfying meal.
Ingredients
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1/2 cup white wine (optional)
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped
- 8 ounces pasta (spaghetti or linguine)
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add garlic and red pepper flakes; sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add shrimp to the skillet, cooking until they turn pink, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Pour in white wine (if using), lemon juice, salt, and pepper; simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Toss the cooked pasta with the shrimp mixture, mixing well.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
Serve hot with garlic bread or a fresh green salad. Adjust spice level to taste and don’t overcook the shrimp.
