Description

A classic Shrimp Scampi dish with garlic, butter, and shrimp, served over pasta for a quick and satisfying meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 cup white wine (optional)
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped
  • 8 ounces pasta (spaghetti or linguine)

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Add garlic and red pepper flakes; sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  4. Add shrimp to the skillet, cooking until they turn pink, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  5. Pour in white wine (if using), lemon juice, salt, and pepper; simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Toss the cooked pasta with the shrimp mixture, mixing well.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

Serve hot with garlic bread or a fresh green salad. Adjust spice level to taste and don’t overcook the shrimp.
