Description

A creamy, cheesy, and perfectly baked casserole of eggs and savory sausage that makes a delightful breakfast or brunch.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound sausage
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheese
  • Optional: 2 cups bread or vegetables (like bell peppers or spinach)
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until browned (about 5 to 7 minutes). Drain the excess fat.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk until well combined.
  4. Grease a baking dish, layer the cooked sausage evenly across the bottom, and add optional bread or vegetables if using.
  5. Pour the egg mixture over the sausage evenly.
  6. Sprinkle cheese on top.
  7. Season with salt and pepper.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the eggs are set and the top is golden.
  9. Let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
