- 1 Prime Rib Bone-in roast
- Salt
- Pepper
- Garlic powder
- Herbs (such as rosemary and thyme)
- Olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C).
- Season the prime rib roast generously with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and herbs.
- Rub the roast with olive oil.
- Place the roast in a roasting pan and roast in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes to create a crust.
- Lower the oven temperature to 325°F (163°C) and continue roasting until the internal temperature reaches 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare.
- Remove from the oven and let it rest for 20-30 minutes.
- For a quick sear, heat a skillet over high heat and sear the roast on all sides before slicing.
- Slice the prime rib roast and serve with your favorite sides.
Notes
Use a meat thermometer for perfect doneness. Marinate overnight for extra flavor.
