Description

Ingredients

  • 1 Prime Rib Bone-in roast
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Garlic powder
  • Herbs (such as rosemary and thyme)
  • Olive oil


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C).
  2. Season the prime rib roast generously with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and herbs.
  3. Rub the roast with olive oil.
  4. Place the roast in a roasting pan and roast in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes to create a crust.
  5. Lower the oven temperature to 325°F (163°C) and continue roasting until the internal temperature reaches 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare.
  6. Remove from the oven and let it rest for 20-30 minutes.
  7. For a quick sear, heat a skillet over high heat and sear the roast on all sides before slicing.
  8. Slice the prime rib roast and serve with your favorite sides.

Notes
