Description

A delicious blend of buttery croissants, eggs, and cheese, perfect for busy mornings.

Ingredients

  • 6 large croissants, torn into pieces
  • 8 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1/2 cup diced ham or cooked sausage (optional)
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Grease a baking dish and place the croissant pieces evenly in the dish.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and any optional ingredients like vanilla or cinnamon.
  3. Pour the egg mixture over the croissant pieces, pressing down to ensure the croissants are soaked.
  4. Sprinkle cheese, ham or sausage, and green onions over the top.
  5. Cover with foil and refrigerate overnight.
  6. The next morning, preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  7. Bake the casserole covered for 30 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the top is golden and the egg is set.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve warm, add hot sauce or sour cream for extra flavor. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
