Description

A delightful twist on two classic comfort foods: meatloaf and mac and cheese. Perfect for family dinners, this hearty casserole combines seasoned beef with creamy, cheesy pasta for a satisfying meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup macaroni noodles
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 2 eggs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon mustard powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the macaroni noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, mustard powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix cooked macaroni with milk and 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese.
  5. In a greased casserole dish, layer the meat mixture, then top with the macaroni and cheese mixture.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top.
  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the meat is cooked through and the casserole is bubbly.
  8. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Make sure to drain the macaroni well to avoid excess water in the casserole. You can use different types of cheese for a unique flavor.
