Description
Juicy pork coated in a sticky honey garlic sauce, perfect for weeknight dinners or as an appetizer.
Ingredients
- 1 3/4-2 pounds boneless pork loin filet or pork tenderloin filets, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup butter or neutral oil
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup apple juice
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- Garnish options: sliced green onions and/or sesame seeds
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper until well coated.
- Add the cubed pork tenderloin and toss until evenly coated.
- Heat butter or oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the seasoned pork cubes and sear until browned on all sides, reaching an internal temperature of 145 degrees F (about 4-5 minutes).
- Remove pork from the pan and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add honey, apple juice, and soy sauce. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and cook, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens, about 5-7 minutes.
- Return the seared pork to the skillet with the sauce and toss to coat. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until heated through.
- Garnish with green onions or sesame seeds and serve hot over rice or with your favorite sides.
Notes
Make sure to sear the pork well for extra flavor. Adjust the amount of honey based on your sweetness preference.
