Description

Chewy and fudgy brownies with the rich flavor of chocolate and the stunning red color of red velvet cake.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon red food coloring
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the melted butter and granulated sugar until well combined.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, and beat until smooth.
  4. In another bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  6. Stir in the red food coloring and, if desired, white chocolate chips.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  9. Allow to cool before cutting into squares. Enjoy your fudgy red velvet brownies!
