Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 2 cups mixed dried fruits (e.g., raisins, cherries, apricots)
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (e.g., walnuts, pecans)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. Cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the vanilla and almond extracts.
  5. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this to the creamed mixture.
  6. Gently fold in the mixed dried fruits and chopped nuts.
