Description

A comforting and hearty dish that combines the flavors of French onion soup with meatballs, mushrooms, and Gruyere cheese.


Ingredients

  • Meatballs
  • 1 can Condensed French onion soup
  • 1 cup Sliced mushrooms
  • 1 cup Beef broth
  • 1 cup Gruyere cheese, shredded
  • 2 cups Cooked rice


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large baking dish, combine the meatballs, condensed French onion soup, beef broth, and sliced mushrooms.
  3. Stir in cooked rice and mix well.
  4. Top with shredded Gruyere cheese.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  6. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  7. Serve warm.

Notes

For added flavor, sauté the sliced mushrooms in butter before adding them to the casserole. You can customize by adding different vegetables or using different cheeses.
