Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon dried Italian herbs
- ½ cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
- Fresh basil for garnish, optional
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the chicken to the skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine.
- Add the dried Italian herbs and sun-dried tomatoes. Allow the mix to simmer for about 5 minutes.
- Return the chicken to the skillet and cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing it to soak up the flavors.
- Serve warm, garnished with fresh basil if desired.
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in the olive oil, garlic, and herbs for about an hour before cooking. Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a little kick.
