A delightful dish combining tender chicken with a creamy sauce and sun-dried tomatoes, effortlessly cooked in a crock pot.
Ingredients
- 4 chicken breasts
- 1 cup creamy sauce (e.g., cream cheese or heavy cream)
- 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 oz pasta (e.g., penne or fettuccine)
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- In a crock pot, add chicken breasts, creamy sauce, sun-dried tomatoes, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or high for 2-3 hours.
- About 30 minutes before serving, cook the pasta according to package instructions.
- Once chicken is tender, shred the chicken in the crock pot and stir everything together.
- Serve over cooked pasta, topping with Parmesan cheese and fresh basil.
Notes
For a richer sauce, use a combination of cream cheese and heavy cream and do not skip the fresh basil for added flavor.
