A tender chicken dish with a creamy sauce, perfect for busy weeknights or special occasions.
Ingredients
- 6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/3 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Fresh parsley, chopped
- Extra grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts with salt, black pepper, dried oregano, and dried thyme.
- In a bowl, mix heavy cream, chicken broth, grated Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, chopped sun-dried tomatoes, red pepper flakes (if using), and Italian seasoning.
- Drizzle olive oil in the bottom of the slow cooker, place seasoned chicken breasts inside, and pour the sauce mixture over them.
- After cooking, sprinkle with chopped parsley and additional grated Parmesan cheese before serving.
Notes
For a thicker sauce, cook on low for longer. Feel free to add vegetables like spinach or mushrooms to the sauce.
