Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup sundried tomatoes, packed in oil, drained
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish
- Pasta or rice for serving
Instructions
- In a slow cooker, combine chicken breasts, sundried tomatoes, heavy cream, chicken broth, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Stir to combine well.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender and cooked through.
- Once cooked, shred the chicken gently in the sauce if desired.
- Serve over cooked pasta or rice, and garnish with fresh basil.
Notes
Use chicken thighs for a juicier result; add vegetables for extra nutrition; for a thicker sauce, mix in cornstarch with water towards the end of cooking.
