Description
A creamy, hearty chicken dish cooked effortlessly in a crock pot, served over angel hair pasta.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 packet (1 oz) Italian dressing mix
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 cups uncooked angel hair pasta
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a crock pot, combine the cream of mushroom soup, Italian dressing mix, and cream cheese. Mix until well blended.
- Add the chicken breasts to the crock pot and coat them in the sauce.
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
- About 30 minutes before serving, cook the angel hair pasta according to package instructions.
- Shred the chicken in the sauce and mix thoroughly.
- Serve the chicken and sauce over the bed of angel hair pasta. Garnish with parsley, if desired.
Notes
For added flavor, sauté garlic or onions before adding to the crock pot. For a thicker sauce, cook uncovered for the last 30 minutes.
