A cozy and nutritious chicken parmesan bowl layered with creamy cottage cheese and tangy tomato sauce.
Ingredients
- 2 Chicken Breasts
- 1 cup Cottage Cheese
- 1 cup Tomato Sauce
- ½ cup Parmesan Cheese, grated
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Italian Seasoning
- 2 tbsp Olive Oil
- Salt and Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Pound chicken breasts to ½ inch thick and season with salt and pepper.
- In a large oven-safe skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Cook chicken breasts for 5-6 minutes on each side until golden.
- Stir in minced garlic for 1 minute, then add tomato sauce and sprinkle with Italian seasoning.
- Spoon cottage cheese over chicken, then sprinkle grated parmesan cheese on top.
- Transfer skillet to oven and bake for 20 minutes until bubbly and browned.
- Let cool for a couple of minutes before serving warm, garnished with fresh basil if desired.
