Description

A comforting and hearty classic meatloaf that’s simple to make and perfect for family dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, milk, 1/4 cup of ketchup, egg, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce.
  3. Mix until well combined.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a loaf pan and shape it into a loaf.
  5. Spread the remaining ketchup on top of the meatloaf.
  6. Bake for 1 hour or until cooked through.
  7. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Use lean ground beef for a healthier option. Don’t overmix the ingredients to keep the meatloaf tender.
