Description

A delightful loaf that combines the flavors of cinnamon sugar donuts with the ease of quick bread, perfect for breakfast or snacks.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon (for coating)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. Whisk together the flour, 1 cup of sugar, baking powder, salt, and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon in a large bowl.
  3. Mix the softened butter, egg, milk, and vanilla in another bowl until smooth.
  4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix gently until combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for 45-50 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Mix the 1/4 cup of sugar and 2 tablespoons of cinnamon for the coating.
  8. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  9. Brush the top of the bread with melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
  10. Slice and serve warm.

Notes

Best served warm for maximum flavor. Can be enjoyed plain or with spreads.
