Ingredients
- 1 (20 oz) container of refrigerated or frozen cheese tortellini
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 (24 oz) jar of pasta sauce
- 8 ounces cream cheese (cubed)
- 1-2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated or shredded Parmesan cheese
- Seasoning to taste (salt, garlic powder, black pepper, Italian seasoning)
Instructions
- Cook the tortellini according to package directions until al dente (3-5 minutes for fresh, 5-7 minutes for frozen). Drain and set aside.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat, breaking it apart as it cooks. Season with salt, garlic powder, black pepper, and Italian seasoning for 5-7 minutes until no longer pink.
- Drain excess grease, then stir in the pasta sauce and cubed cream cheese. Simmer for 3-5 minutes until cream cheese is melted and well combined.
- Gently toss the cooked tortellini into the skillet with the meat sauce until well coated.
- Transfer the mixture to the prepared casserole dish and top with shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan.
- Bake uncovered for approximately 20 minutes. Switch to broil and bake for an additional 2-3 minutes until cheese is golden brown.
- Let sit for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy warm!
