Description

Juicy pork chops cooked in a creamy Boursin cheese sauce with savory onions, perfect for an impressive yet easy meal.

Ingredients

  • 4 pork chops
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/2 medium onion, chopped
  • 3/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1 (5.2 oz/150g) package Boursin Fine Herbs & Garlic cheese, softened
  • 1-2 tablespoons chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Take the pork chops out of the fridge 15-30 minutes prior to starting the recipe. Pat them dry and season with garlic powder and salt and pepper.
  2. Add olive oil and butter to a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the pork chops for 3-5 minutes per side until golden. Transfer to a plate.
  3. Add onions to the skillet and sauté for about 5 minutes until softened.
  4. Add chicken broth and Boursin cheese, stirring until smooth, and let simmer for 4-5 minutes.
  5. Return pork chops to the skillet and cook for another 3-5 minutes until cooked through, adding chicken broth if the sauce thickens too much. Season with salt and pepper and serve immediately, garnished with chopped parsley.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate pork chops in garlic, herbs, and olive oil for a few hours before cooking. Avoid overcrowding the skillet; cook in batches if necessary.
