Ingredients
- 2 beef tenderloin steaks
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons black peppercorns
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Season the beef tenderloin steaks with salt and pepper.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat and sear the steaks for 3-4 minutes on each side until browned.
- Transfer the skillet to the oven and roast for about 10-15 minutes for medium-rare, depending on thickness.
- Remove the steaks and let them rest.
- In the same skillet, add heavy cream, crushed peppercorns, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Stir and simmer for 5-7 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Serve the beef tenderloin topped with pepper cream sauce and garnish with fresh parsley.
Notes
For a lighter sauce, replace heavy cream with half-and-half or milk. Use room temperature beef for better cooking results.
