Description

Delicious, healthy, and easy-to-make Banana Oatmeal Bars that provide a sweet snack without the guilt. Perfect for busy mornings or as a post-workout treat.

Ingredients

  • 1½ cups mashed bananas (approx. 3 bananas)
  • ½ cup nut butter (peanut, almond, or cashew)
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Heat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×9-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Mix the Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas, nut butter, rolled oats, cinnamon, vanilla extract, maple syrup, chocolate chips, and salt. Stir until thick and sticky.
  3. Transfer Mixture: Spoon the mixture into the lined baking pan and flatten it into an even layer. Optionally, sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top.
  4. Bake: Place the pan in the oven and bake for 18 to 20 minutes until the edges are golden brown and the center is set.
  5. Cool and Cut: Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely before cutting into squares or rectangles.

Notes

To store, keep in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days, or freeze in plastic wrap for up to three months. Reheat in the microwave for 15-20 seconds or in the oven for 5-7 minutes.
