Description

A cozy sweet treat featuring baked pears topped with fresh berries and crunchy walnuts, perfect for any evening.

Ingredients

  • 4 Pears
  • 2 tablespoons Butter (or vegan butter)
  • 0.5 cup Mixed Fresh Berries
  • 0.5 cup Walnuts (roughly chopped; or sunflower/pumpkin seeds for nut-free)
  • 0.25 cup Blue Cheese (crumbled; or goat cheese/vegan cheese)
  • 2 tablespoons Honey (can substitute maple syrup)
  • Fresh Thyme Sprigs (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Wash your pears and slice them vertically in half, removing the cores.
  3. Place the halved pears cut-side up in an oven-safe baking dish.
  4. Dollop the butter on each pear half and drizzle honey over the top.
  5. Scatter the mixed berries around and on top of the pears, followed by the walnuts.
  6. Top each pear half with crumbled blue cheese.
  7. Slide the baking dish into the oven and bake for about 20-25 minutes.
  8. When tender and caramelized, garnish with fresh thyme and serve warm.

Notes

Ensure pears are ripe for maximum sweetness. Customize toppings based on preference.
