Description

Warm, buttery croissants filled with gooey cheese and savory ham, perfect for brunch or as a delightful snack.

Ingredients

  • 8 mini croissants
  • 4 slices smoked cheddar cheese, halved
  • ¾ pound deli-cut ham
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • ½ to 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 large egg white
  • Poppy seeds, for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Slice each croissant in half horizontally. Layer half a slice of cheddar cheese, deli ham, and another half slice of cheese on the bottom half before placing the top back on.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the softened butter, yellow mustard, honey, and Worcestershire sauce until smooth.
  4. Spread the buttery mixture inside each croissant sandwich.
  5. Arrange the filled croissants in the prepared baking dish in a single layer.
  6. Whisk together the egg white with a splash of water and brush this mixture on top of the croissants; sprinkle with poppy seeds.
  7. Bake for 15-18 minutes until cheese is melted and tops are golden brown.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Serve warm for the best flavor. Consider pairing with a refreshing side salad or vegetable sticks.
